LifePoint Family and Friends,
Today Governor Hogan announced that the first phase of the reopening process would begin this Friday at 5:00 pm. Churches are among the groups included in this first phase. This is by no means a return to normal since very specific restrictions still apply. Given the complexities of reopening a church our size on short notice, we have made the decision not to reopen our campus for worship services this weekend.
Through this pandemic we’ve had people diligently working on how to continue ministry in creative ways. We’ve also been getting our heads into all of the steps necessary to reopen our campus in a safe and effective way. Even a phased-in return to our church services will require social distancing, the wearing of masks, extra time spent cleaning the facility between services, and coordinating the volunteers required to make the experience meaningful. This first phase also limits facility capacity to 50%.
I can assure you we’re working very hard to return to meeting on the LifePoint campus as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll be opening our campus very soon.
As always, I’m committed to communicating with you as quickly and clearly as possible.
Gratefully in His grace,
Joe Duke
