FAQS for Community Groups 2024/2025
What is a Community Group?
Community Groups are typically 8-12 people that gather on a regular basis to form Jesus-centered relationships and to grow in their faith.
Community Groups can be life-stage or gender specific or they can be open to anyone.
How do I join a Community Group?
Request to join the group you are interested in. The community group leader will reach out to you to let you know the details of the group and answer any questions you might have before coming to your first meeting.
What if I don’t gel with my group?
It’s recommended to try the group three times before you try another group. If you are still not connecting after three times, be honest with the group leader and let them know you are looking for something else. Sometimes people just don’t connect and that’s fine.
What can I expect at a group meeting?
Most groups discuss either the previous Sunday’s sermon or a topical study. There will also be time to connect through conversation and a time to pray. Some groups serve food, but it’s not a requirement.
How often do groups meet?
It is up to the group leader. We have groups that meet weekly, bi-weekly, or once a month. Most community groups meet between September-May.
What do I do if I cannot find a group that meets my needs?
Reach out to our GroupLife Director to see if there are any future groups being formed or other opportunities to connect within the church until a group that fits your needs does become available.
