LifePoint Family and Friends,

Less than three weeks ago our daily routine changed dramatically. None of us has ever lived through such unprecedented circumstances. The pandemic of COVID-19 has interrupted the world as we know it. But through it all, our God is still God and the church is still the church!

Our church staff and volunteer leaders are working overtime to help you stay connected. Make sure you’re checking our website regularly for updates, information and resources. And stay current through our LifePoint Facebook and Instagram feeds. My personal goal is to “over-communicate” during this exceptional season. Please join me weekdays for Daily Joe—a video podcast of inspiration and connection. It’s my primary way of staying in touch with you during this new reality.

Even though we’re not gathering for “church,” our worship service continues every weekend and we’ve moved to Church at Home. Join us for our livestream Sunday mornings at 9:30 and check out other events throughout the week on LifePoint Live. We’re getting close to celebrating Easter. This weekend (Palm Sunday), I’ll be talking to you about Finding God in the Darkness. Then on Easter, we’ll celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. And beginning this Wednesday, April 1, we are offering a daily Easter Devotional, sent to your inbox each morning. Even though we’re separated in our respective homes, we’re still together in spirit!

Thank you for your desire to lean into God during this time of uncertainty. We can count on Him. In every circumstance, He is with us, loving us, and working everything for our good. Our mission of influencing people to find and follow Jesus has not been diminished. We’re now living out that mission in increasingly creative ways. Thank you for your continued financial faithfulness during this parenthesis. Ministry in our region and around the world continues through the generous gifts from you and others who call LifePoint home. Giving online is more important now than ever. If you haven’t already done so, you can set up regular online givingby following the simple steps on our website.

I’m looking forward to that day when we can be back together again. Until then, let’s keep trusting God. Learning and growing. Finding surprises of joy in a new rhythm.

Warmly in His grace,

Joe Duke
