Care Week gives our entire LifePoint family the opportunity to show care, in big or small ways, to the people in our life who matter.
From May 28 through June 4, we’re challenging everyone to think of at least one person they can show care to, whether it’s the neighbor going through cancer treatment, the little league coach who just lost his mom or the friend who is looking for a job.
Need some ideas? Check out our suggestions below!
Know someone who just had a baby or is recovering from surgery? Give them the caring gift of dinner!
Know someone who is going through a difficult time? Text them to let them know you’re thinking about and praying for them!
Know someone who could use a hand around the house? Offer to mow their yard or help fix something!
Know someone that has a hard time getting around or is overwhelmed right now? Offer to grocery shop or pick up meds or dry cleaning!
Take a few minutes to call your mom, brother, or that family member that hasn’t heard from you in a while. You could make their day!
Know someone who is a first responder or works in a service industry? Tell them how much you appreciate what they do!
Who can you bless this week without them knowing it was you?
Know someone who needs a reason to smile? Send them a card the old-fashioned way!
Know someone who needs to know they are not alone? Give them a hug and tell them you see them!
We are also showing Care this week by helping our HUGS disability ministry with their Family Fun Day event on Sunday, June 4. Volunteers can help run games and activities or serve food. Let’s show love and care together!
Do you want to learn how to better care for others around you? Have you ever wanted to comfort someone who is ill or experiencing grief but you just don’t have the right words?
Don’t let fear hold you back from caring for others!
Join us for Cultivating a Community of Care on Saturday, June 3. This FREE training will demystify the unknowns of care to help you care for yourself and others with confidence.
You won’t want to miss it!
