7th-12th graders are encouraged to participate in the Underground Students small group ministry AL-G. These groups meet the first three Wednesdays of the month in local homes.
Here at the Underground, we believe that in order to challenge students to live their faith out in a real way, we have to get real. Students need to know that there is a safe environment for them to be honest with their struggle – a place in which everyone is real. So much of our world is retouched, edited, and made-up that we begin to feel as if we don’t measure up.
Our vision is that students from all over the county encourage and challenge each other to be real and to grow. Our groups study the Student Life Bible Curriculum and supply Biblical truth to the everyday life of a student. The time is filled with laughter, support, and sometimes hard truths that each of us needs to hear at one time or another.
We ask you to give AL-G the same weight that you would give all of the other activities in which you are currently involved. After all, AL-G has more potential than almost anything else to produce positive life-change in your life. We all are busy, but we all need a chance to take a breath and figure out our place in the world.
