Every believer is a minister called by God to carry out His mission. LifePoint Church offers opportunities for individuals to discover their God-given passion and to utilize their uniquely assigned spiritual gifts. Being involved on a Ministry Team offers every individual the opportunity to influence people to find and follow Jesus.

Global Missions at LifePoint Church extends God's grace and truth across cultural boundaries, especially among the unreached people groups around the world. 

The Global Outreach Team (GO Team) meets to pray for missionaries and their ministries in Northern Africa, Africa and Guatemala, as well as other areas of ministry.  They also are partnering with the Orphan Care Ministry to reach out to children around the world regarding adoption and supporting overseas orphanages.

SHORT TERM MISSION TRIPS in 2010

• Guatemala Trip -- July 25 - August 1st -- THIS TRIP IS FULL
  Join us for a week in Guatemala City with our missionaries, Oscar and Ana Maria Campos.  Work will include carpentry jobs and possibly computer tune-ups at the Central American Theological Seminary.  We’ll also join seminary students in their outreach to the community.

ORPHAN CARE MINISTRY

 “I lived in an orphanage for the first eight years of my life.  By the time I was eight, it never crossed my mind that I would ever live anywhere else.  But then a missionary family came and spoke up for me with their friends back home.  As a result, a couple came forward and became my mom and dad.”

Proverbs 31:8 commands us to “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”  This young woman’s life illustrates what can happen when we do.

Mission:  Following Jesus through orphan care, adoption, and foster care.

Vision:  To establish a ministry that provides the opportunity for each of us to be obedient to His call to care for the orphan.

OBJECTIVES: 

1. To provide for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of orphans and waiting children.

2.  To educate, encourage, and support families as they consider and pursue international or domestic adoption and foster care.

METHODS:

1. ORPHAN CARE - LifePoint Church will select an orphanage to sponsor that will include praying for each child on a regular basis; coordinating supply drives or mission trips to support the specific needs of the orphanage; provide resources and information to educate others regarding the scope or orphan needs; and to establish and coordinate a child sponsorship program.

2. ADOPTION - FOSTER CARE - LifePoint Orphan Ministry will support those in the adoption or fostering process by developing a support group for adoptive/fostering families or those interested to meet on a regular basis; provide seminars and written materials to instruct and inform adults about the adoption and foster care process; and to establish a financial assistance fund.

Our Global Outreach Team, the GO TEAM, emphasizes Christ's commission to go and reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They accomplish this mission by:
Sending short-term mission teams to various countries around the world, such as Guatemala, Spain, Russia, Ukraine and North Africa.

Supporting missionaries around the globe with monthly support and other grants. Publicizing and educating the body at LifePoint Church with missions speakers, missions fairs and other educational seminars and programs.
