Serve My Community
The Local Impact Team extends God's grace and truth to needs locally and nationally. It has sponsored several mission trips to Hosanna Ministries in Pennsylvania to help rehab homes for the poor and to the Gulf Coast in response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, on a monthly basis, the team is available to help out directly with needs in the immediate community or through partnering with other organizations or outside ministries (see list below).

Carpenter's Hands

This is a ministry that seeks to help others in practical ways. We rehab homes and do construction projects for those in need, especially the elderly, single-parent families, and local Christian ministries. Carpenter's Hands typically does a local outreach on the 2nd Saturday of the month. The day usually begins at 8am at the church and ends between 4pm-5pm (depending on project).
Come join Carpenter's Hands Saturday, August 14 that will be doing another work project. To get more details about the project, please contact Joe Snively directly at 301-509-1166 or email the church office at .
Even if you do not have any carpentry skills, COME ANYWAY. Part of Carpenter's Hands mission is to love the family and share Jesus with them, both through physical work and just listening to their stories. There is always a place for a willing heart.
There are many ways you can be a part of the Carpenter's Hands team:
- Share your talents. Anyone can help from the those who are employed in the building trades to those with only willing hands and hearts. Each project needs helpers of all sorts and skill level.
- Be available. Sometimes we need a crew of 40, other times we need only 3-4 helpers. Being available is key to the success of our teams. You will be blessed and will be a blessing!
Orphan Care Ministry - Foster Care and Adoption

In addition, LifePoint also supports orphanages around the world through mission team visits and financial and prayer support. Visit our Serve My World webpage for more information. If you have any questions regarding any aspect of the orphan care ministry, please email .
