What do I do when I arrive?
All children must be registered to enter a classroom. Classes open 15 minutes prior to each service. All families should go to the LPKids Check In station located in the hallway outside the worship center. First time parents will fill out a visitor card and receive a name tag for their child. The check-in attendant will show you where your child’s age-appropriate classroom is located.
Is there a security system in place?
Yes! When you register your child, you will receive a sticker name tag for him/her and a parent name tag for yourself. This tag identifies you as the only person who can pick up your child. The child tag corresponds to the parent tag. If your parent tag is lost or misplaced, you MUST see an attendant at Guest Services who will verify your identification. Children WILL NOT be released to anyone without a parent tag.
Is it safe to leave my child with your volunteers?
Yes! LPKids Volunteers have all passed a background check and have been trained to work with children. We strive to have the safest environment possible in all classrooms.
What if my child needs me during the service?
The parent tag you receive when registering your child will have a three digit number on it. If your child needs you for any reason during the service, your three-digit number will be posted on either side of the stage on the screens. If you see your number posted, check with the attendant at LPKids Check In immediately. If your child has a medical need, let us know when you are checking in your child and you will be given a pager each week.
What can my child expect in his/her LPKids class?
In LPKids, we focus on programming that is energetic, biblical, fun and influential! Our weekend services are where it all happens. We value relationships with leaders, each other, and God. Because of this value, our classes consist of small group time, large group time, worship, and fun. You can expect our LPKids volunteers to lovingly build into your child.
What do I do if my child has special needs?
Children with special needs are highly valued in LPKids! Our special needs ministry, HUGS, offers buddies for children who need “extra” one on one care to be successful in our classrooms. See our Special Needs page for more information about HUGS.
Do you use social media?
Yes! You can like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. In order to keep current, LPKids is using many avenues of social media. This enables us to post pictures of all the great things that happen on the weekends and at special events. Please be advised that your child’s picture may be used on a social media site. Children will not be tagged or identified on these sites. If you do not wish to have your child’s image appear in video or photograph in either print or in social media, please notify us in writing.
