    A little about the series...

It’s an age-old problem - one that begins to plague us around the time adolescence hits and, if we aren’t careful, follows us around the rest of our lives. It is the question of who we are - what makes up our identity, what defines us, what makes us, us. But imagine if, instead of wrestling with these questions in the complexity of adulthood, we started to tackle them in the formative teenage years? What if we took a good, long, hard look at some of the foundational questions during the years that shape us more than any others? Who am I? Where do I belong? What is my purpose? We are going to begin to scratch the surface of identity tackling the difficult to ask [and even more difficult to answer] questions that ultimately end up defining who we are.

    April 28 & 29 - Born Identity
Who we are is determined by Who created us.

    May 5 & 6  - Neighborhood Watch
It is only in community that we can be made the best version of ourselves, and have a greater understanding of our individual identity.

    May 12 & 13 - Imitators
Discovering and doing our purpose, in light of who we are, completes our identity in a way nothing else can.

    Upside Down

    A little about the series...

When we're talking about our lives, most of us wouldn't think in terms of "kingdoms." But the reality is that each one of us has one. We have some area of our lives where we rule and reign, where we exert our wills. A kingdom may be as vast as a school, team or group. Or it may be as small as your bedroom or your cell phone. There's a place in your life where you are in complete control and really don't care what anyone else thinks or wants. A place where you exert your will. If you're a follower of Christ, there are times when your kingdoms can collide with God's, but there's only room for one. Ultimately, someone has to give, someone has to surrender. And when we surrender to God's kingdom, we begin to live an upside down life - life that is the total opposite of how our world operates.

    May 19 & 20: Collision
There are two kingdoms that are trying to co-exist - but there is only room for one.

    May 26 & 27: Inverted Reality
Living in God's kingdom means living in an upside down world.

June 2 & 3: An Upside Down World
The kingdom of God is not only something we experience and hope for someday; it is something we participate in now.
