Join Elevate for 4 weeks of honest talk about sex and dating! We'll be using scripture to illustrate God's design for sex, to learn how to put Him at the center of our relationships and why it's so important to strive for Purity.

Week 2 - February 27 & 28

What went wrong?

We've been lied to and God’s truths are the exact opposite of these four lies:

• Lie # 1: The outside matters more than the inside
  • God's truth: Inside matters more than outside
• Lie # 2: Sex matters more than love
  • God's truth: Love matters more than sex
• Lie # 3: Myself matters more than others
  • God's truth: Others matter more than ourself
• Lie # 4: Who I have matters more than who I am
  • God's truth: Who I am matters more than who I have

Key Point: The LIES Bait us to the Edge. They tempt us to cross the line. They want us to fail. & mock us when we do fail. These lies cause us to get closer and closer to the line. In fact, most teens want to know how far is too far? With Truth Comes Margin, and we need margin!

Exposed! Wrap-Up Q & A

At the conclusion of last week's lesson Ashley asked students to take a moment and write down any questions they've had over the past few teachings pertaining to the Exposed! series. This weekend the guys and girls of Elevate will be splitting up, going to different rooms, and tackling some of the questions they wrote down last week. Our leaders are prepared to provide scriptural references for their answers and are looking forward to helping the students work through some of these difficult subjects.

The guys and girls will be in seperate rooms with same-sex leaders so that they feel comfortable sharing and talking about these sensitive topics.

Due to the nature of this topic we encourage parents to speak with their children throughout the series and are offering resources to aide in discussion points.
