"Help for Uniquely Gifted Souls"

HUGS, as it is often referred to as, is a ministry for children, teens and young adults with special needs. Our mission is to influence individuals with disabilities and their families to find and follow Jesus.

HUG Kids*

We provide special one-on-one buddies to assist students who require it in order to participate fully in weekend children and student ministries  activities. HUG Kids is available on Saturdays at 6:15pm and on Sundays at 9:00am and 10:45am . We ask parents to choose ONE service that their child will regularly attend.

Special Huggers*

The Special Huggers class is a Bible class designed for children with special needs, who need more individualized attention or a smaller classroom size. Classes generally include music, a bible story, craft and  motor activity.  The Special Huggers class is currently offered to children from ages 4 through 8 at the 10:45am Sunday service, and for children 9 and up at the 9:00am Sunday service.

HUG Givers*

Additionally, we provide a class for developmentally challenged teens and  adults. Our HUG Givers class meets at 9:00am and 10:45am on Sunday mornings, and teaches biblical truths through creative lessons and music to those with developmental disabilities of all levels. There are currently openings for students at the 9:00am service.

* We ask that you contact Sandy McCann prior to your first visit so placement options can be discussed, and ask a parent to remain  in their child's classroom during the first visit to meet with a representative from the HUGS ministry.
