Frequently Asked Questions

what do i do when i Arrive?

All children must be registered to enter classrooms. First time families should go to the Ventureland check-in station located in the main lobby next to Guest Services. Parents will be asked to fill out a visitor card and will receive classroom name tags for their children.

How do I know which class my child attends?

The sticker name tag indicates the age-appropriate classroom your child will attend. The check-in attendant will show you where the classroom is located. Ventureland classes open 15 minutes prior to service times.

Where are classes located?

Our Nursery, The Gardens, is located on the main level to the left of Guest Services.
Our Preschool, Elementary and Preteen classes are located on the lower level of our building.

Is there a security system in place?

Yes! When you register your child you will receive a sticker name tag for him/her and a parent tag for yourself. This tag identifies that you have permission to pick up the child with the corresponding tag.

What do I do if I lose my parent tag?

Sometimes parent tags are misplaced or lost. Children WILL NOT be released to anyone without a parent tag. If you do not have your tag, you MUST see an attendant at Guest Services who will verify your identification.

is it safe to leave my child with your volunteers?

Ventureland Volunteers have all passed a background check and have been trained to work with your children. We strive to have the safest enviornment possible in all classrooms.

What if my child needs me during the service?

When registering your child you will receive a three-digit security/pager number. If for any reason your child needs you during the service, your three-digit number will be posted on either side of the stage. If you see your number has been posted, check with the attendant at Guest Services immediately.

What do I do if my child has special needs?

Children with special needs are highly valued in Ventureland! Our Disabilities Ministry, HUGS, offers buddies for children who need "extra" one on one care to be successful in our classrooms. Please contact for more information about the HUGS program.

Do you have mid-week activities?

In Ventureland we focus on programming that is energetic, biblical, fun and influential! Our weekend services are where it all happens. Parent/child activities are planned sporadically throughout the year. Our Preteen Ministry, BreakAway, does have quarterly outreach events and more information on these can be found on the BreakAway page.

What can I expect in Ventureland classes?

In Ventureland we value relationships: with leaders, each other and God! Because of this value, our classes consist of play, large group time, small group time and worship. You can expect Ventureland Volunteers to lovingly build into the lives of your children.
