Why take my child to class?

LifePoint Church is intentionally designed around age appropriate environments. The main adult service is one of our locations that is not appropriate for children. The theatrical atmosphere of the room and the content of the service are not suitable for children. The goal of the main service is to provide a focused program for adults, free from distractions, so a clear, powerful message can be presented and received.

However, our Ventureland classrooms are carefully designed with your child's developmental needs in mind. What kid wouldn't choose to spend their time in a kid-friendly environment made just for them!? Our classrooms are colorful, spacious, engaging and stimulating environments where your child's physical and spiritual needs can be met. So keep your children's best interest in mind and bring them to the most kid-appropriate place to be...Ventureland!

How do I sign in my child?

All families must register at a check-in station to receive nametags and a security/pager number. If we need to contact you during the service your number will be posted on the LED (Lighted Electronic Display) which is located on either side of the stage. Children will only be released to an ADULT with the same claim tag number as the child's. First time guests are required to complete an information card prior to registration.

Who is caring for my child?

We seek to have consistent volunteers in all of our classrooms so that both parents and children see a familiar face each time they attend. This helps children feel more comfortable in their classroom as well as puts parents' minds at ease as they build relationships with our Team Members.  All volunteers must have an approved application on file, have completed reference checks, and are cross referenced with the National Sex Offender Registry.

In addition, our facility was intentionally designed with your child's safety in mind. All of our classrooms were created with an open design format. The Garden Nursery was intentionally created without enclosed walls so that there is no possibility of a volunteer being behind a closed door with a child. Our Preschool and Elementary classrooms were also designed with windows to all classrooms and small windows to PreK restrooms. It is our desire to be accountable with your children and to let everyone see what is going on in Ventureland. Come roam our hallways! Explore! Be curious! Investigate! We want you to see why we are excited about Jesus and why kids what to spend their weekends in Ventureland!

What is your Health Policy?

In order for our facilities to maintain a healthy environment, children will not be permitted to enter their classrooms when they are ill or are exhibiting any of the following symptoms and/or illnesses within 24 hours of church functions:

  • Fever greater than 99.0
  • Runny nose with colored mucus
  • Chills
  • Headache plus one other symptom
  • Earache
  • Flushed face, especially cheeks
  • Red, itchy eyes
  • Questionable rashes
  • Coughing or vomiting
  • Diarrhea (unless caused by antibiotics)
  • Impetigo
  • Active chicken pox
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)

Allergies: please report any allergies to the scheduled Ventureland volunteer. If your child has a continually clear runny nose or rash due to non-contagious allergies, please let us know. We realize that some symptoms hang on long after a child is no longer contagious.

Medicine: If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on the medication for at least 24 hours prior to entering class. Medicine is not permitted in the classrooms. If your child requires medication, it must be administered by a parent.

When A Child Becomes Ill: If your child develops symptoms while in class, you will be asked to remove your child .

We give our volunteers the authority to judge whether a child is too sick to enter the room. Please remember, we want all of our children to remain healthy and happy.

How can I get connected in Ventureland?

If you have chosen LifePoint Church to be your church home, we would love to talk to you about serving in Ventureland. We work closely with our volunteers to discover their giftedness so we can accurately place them in an effective ministry position. Children's Ministries encompasses so much more than just working with kids! We have a place for everyone. Please check out our Volunteer page and we’ll get you connected to a Ventureland Team!
